200 Pinehurst Avenue, Manhattan
New Age Engineering PLLC designed a replacement heating plant for this building. This consisted of a scotch marine boiler and gas/oil burner, new chimney liner, and a domestic hot water heater for summer use. We have updated this building internet based controls to ensure energy savings to avoid excessive boiler runtimes.
322 Central Park West, Manhattan
New Age Engineering was brought in to evaluate a chimney termination code requirement due to a tall water tower near the chimney. Our firm found that there would be significant cost savings if a 22 foot structurally reinforced chimney extension could be avoided.
63 East 9th Street, Manhattan
New Age Engineering was initially brought in to do code compliance review for the requirement of sprinkler heads in eleven laundry rooms on eleven different floors. It was previously recommended that a new fire pump be installed to provide a common riser and one sprinkler head in each laundry room. Our firm was able to obtain written approval from New York City to turn the existing standpipe into a combined standpipe/sprinkler system and provide the required sprinkler heads by gravity to each of the laundry rooms.
